Willard Bryant age 81 of Maumee, OH passed away the morning of Monday, July 25, 2011, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg after a valiant fight with Pulmonary Fibrosis. He was born May 25, 1930 in Toledo, OH. Will attended Macomber Vocational School and later served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict, stationed in England. On June 11, 1955 he married the love of his life, Thelma Thompson. Will was a very proud man. He was the best husband, father and grandpa; he loved to have his family around him. Will was a member of the Odd Fellows, Lodge #892, serving as Noble Grand and Treasurer, also Tontogany Lodge #755. Will was a life member of the Maumee Elks #1850. Will served as Exalted Ruler for 1986 1987 and was named Elk of the Year for 1971. He was always ready to help his fellow lodge brothers. So instead of tears, tip your glass to our absent brother. Will is survived by his wife of 56 years, Thelma; daughter, Dorene Dave Adams of Whitehouse, OH; sons, Gary Sue Bryant of Toledo, OH and Scott Marlee Bryant of Chicago, IL. Also surviving are 5 grandsons, 3 granddaughters, 8 great-grandsons and 2 great-granddaughters and a brother, Richard of Lutz, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard M. and Ada Henry Bryant; sister, Etta Jean Keaton. Family and friends may call at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral, 501 Conant, Maumee on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 from 3-8 pm, with Maumee Elks #1850 conducting services at 6:30 pm. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:00 am in funeral home. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
