Wayne J. Swisher

Wayne J. Swisher, 75, of Perrysburg, died Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was born on April 3, 1942 in Toledo, Ohio to Robert and Mildred (Jacobs) Swisher. He married his sweetheart, Judith A. Czerniak on November 25, 1961. They spent almost 40 years together until her passing on October 13, 2001. Wayne was a truck driver and with Judith they co-owned and operated KW Services, Inc. since 1986. He previously was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Maumee and he loved spending time with his family. Wayne’s favorite past time was going to the casino and playing Crazy Fours. Wayne is survived by his seven children, Wayne Taylor (Linda) Swisher; Julie A. (Jay) Fisher, Ronald J. (Cheryl) Swisher, Marc W. (Darleen) Swisher, David M. (Diane) Swisher; Kent W. (Mary) Swisher and Jannell M. Swisher; eight grandchildren; siblings, Mary Seitz and Paul Swisher. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers, Robert and Gary Swisher. Friends will be received at Witzler Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary St., Perrysburg (419-874-3133) on Saturday, November 11, 2017 from 11 AM-12 PM with Funeral Services at Noon. Burial will follow at Fort Meigs Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association.
