Wayne R. Ludwig

LUDWIG WAYNE R. Wayne R. Ludwig age 71 of Toledo passed away Friday March 6, 2009 in St. Charles Hospital. He was born March 23, 1937 in New Bremen, Ohio to Herman and Hilda Ludwig. Wayne was a science and math teacher at Sharpsburg Elemenatry School in Fort Recovery, Ohio until 1984. He then moved to Toledo and was a substitute school teacher in the Toledo Public School System until 1994. He was a counselor for COMPASS, and an avid fisherman and enjoyed kayaking. Surviving is his son Kevin Josie Ludwig; daughters Cheryl Darrin Good and Angie Dan Smith; grandchildren Jordan, Ethan, Elizabeth, Sara, Derek, Rachel and Alison; and sister Martha Grimes. Friends may call at the Walker Funeral Home and Crematory, 5155 Sylvania Ave. West of Corey on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Memorial services will be held at First Apostolic Church 5701 Sylvania Ave. on Wednesday at 11 AM. The family suggests memorials be in the form of contributions to COMPASS.
