Wayne R. Fleming

Wayne R. Fleming, 84, of Homosassa, FL and formerly of Port Clinton, OH, passed away, Friday, January 17, 2014 at Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center, Crystal River, FL. Wayne was born on May 03, 1929 in Hutchison, PA, the son of William and Nancy Campbell Fleming. Wayne was married to Mary E. Bette Reif who preceded him in death on May 09, 1998. He worked as a truck driver for White Star Trucking for 32 years until his retirement. After retirement he drove school bus for Port Clinton City Schools. Wayne was a member of the Teamsters and was a very active fisherman and hunter. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Survivors include: Sons: Mark Sue Fleming and Matthew Gail Fleming; Daughters: Lucinda Cindy Alfred Wuersig, Judith Kenneth Whitson and Betsy Brian Oleksa; Grandchildren: Jessica Wells, Mathew Fleming and Robert Fleming; Great-Grandchildren: Eli Dominguez, Morgan Dominguez and Makenna Wells; Brothers: William and David Fleming and Sister: Nancy Schiewe. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and sisters: Emma Ritter, Dorothy Steffanacci, Anna Mae Fleming, Margaret Sauer and special friend Yvonne Little. Friends may join the family to celebrate Waynes life from 1-5pm, Sunday, February 16, 2014 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. Interment will be private in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Wayne may be given to the American Heart Association.
