Warren O. Morgan, 80, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away, Monday, January 14, 2008 at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor, OH. Warren was born on February 17, 1927 in Port Clinton, OH to Orval Clayton and Gertrude Buss Morgan. On December 27, 1947 in Fremont, OH, he married Thecla V. Nitschke, and she preceded him in death on January 28, 2007. Warren served in the U. S. Navy during WWII, where he earned the Victory Medal, The American Area Campaign Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Area Campaign Medal. He was the owner/operator of Morgans TV Appliance store for 26 years, retiring in 1982. Warren was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Port Clinton, OH, where he also served as the past president of church council. He was a member of the V.F.W. Homer D. Gardner Post #2480, American Legion Post #113, Elks Lodge #1718, Moose Lodge #1610 and the Port Clinton Yacht Club. Warren was a charter member and past president of the Port Clinton Jaycees. He was a past member of the Port Clinton Rotary Club and the Colonial Club. Warren will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Survivors include: Daughter: Patricia Elsholz of Dundee, MI and Grandchildren: Eric Elsholz, Scott Elsholz and Kristen Knight; Daughter: Cathy Heinrich Dawson of Columbus, OH; Son: Jeffrey Carol Morgan of Port Clinton and Grandchildren: Marissa Barr, Zachary Morgan and Alexandra Johnson; Son: Richard Mary Morgan of Pemberville, OH and Grandchildren: Sara and Emma Morgan; 6 Great-Grandchildren; Sister: Maxine Boling of Port Clinton, OH. Warren was preceded in death by his wife, parents, sister: Coleen Griesmer and step-mother: Mercedes Morgan. Visitation will be 2-4 6-8PM, Thursday, January 17, 2008 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, Port Clinton, OH. Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00AM, Friday, January 18, 2008, by Reverend Karl Kessler, in Peace Lutheran Church, Port Clinton, OH, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, where military graveside services will be conducted by the V.F. W. Homer D. Gardner Post #2480 and the American Legion Post #113. Memorial contributions in memory of Warren can be given to Peace Lutheran Church. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com.
