Wanda M. Szymanowski

Wanda M. Szymanowski, 86, of Swanton, Ohio passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was born on December 5, 1930 in Holland, Ohio to James Blaine and Beatrice Lola (Myrice) Belt and she married Albert “Al” R. Szymanowski on May 13, 1950 in Toledo. Wanda was a graduate of Springfield High School and a longtime member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She was an avid reader and always had her Nook handy. Wanda loved traveling, especially to Traverse City, Michigan and going on cruises, where she could enjoy the sunshine. She was also a huge Pittsburg Steelers Fan. Her great grandchildren always looked forward to visiting “GiGi” and she always kept a candy dish of M&M’s full for them. Wanda is survived by her loving sons, Richard A. (Linda) Szymanowski and Christopher A. Szymanowski; grandchildren, Jamie (Erin) Szymanowski, Sarah (Tony) Robinson, Kristin (Eddie) Price, Rachel Scott, Jordan Szymanowski and Kristina Irwin; 11 great grandchildren and sister-in-law, Marlene MacQueen. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela L. Szymanowski and husband, Albert R. Szymanowski. Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. in Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, Ohio 43528 (419-865-8879). The rosary will be recited during visitation at 7:00 P.M. A funeral mass will be held Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 9:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 6149 Hill Ave, Toledo, Ohio, 43615 and burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to an organization or charity of the donor’s choice.
