Wanda Fae Hurley, 83, of Perrysburg, OH, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, May 25, 2025. She was born on December 14, 1941, in Carcassonne, KY, to Cecil and Alice (Ison) Caudill.
Wanda graduated from Elkhorn City High School in Elkhorn City, KY, with the Class of 1959. She went on to work at ConAgra in Rossford, OH, where she was a dedicated and loyal employee for 37 years until her retirement in 2009, following the plant’s closure.
Above all, Wanda was devoted to her family. A proud military wife, she supported her husband, Dean, as they moved to various locations throughout his service. At home, she was the heart of the family — the planner, the nurturer, and the guiding presence who made every moment special. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and her family will always cherish the love and joy she brought to those celebrations. Wanda was also an avid reader and found great joy in a good book.
She is survived by her loving husband, Palmer Dean Hurley; children, Yvonne (Richard) Lawicki and Michael (Jodi) Hurley; grandchildren, Melissa (John) Decker, Brittany Lawicki, Jacob (Hailey) Lawicki, Chelci (Brian) Hurley, and Teagan (Brandon) Johnson; step-grandchildren, Albert Miller and Nathan Miller; 14 great-grandchildren with one more on the way; sister, Lois (Ricky) Hylton; brother, Jeffery (Kathy) Caudill; brother-in-law, Tommy Hurley; sisters-in-law, Claudia Caudill, Gwen Caudill, and Leona Caudill; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Dorothy Moore, Edward Caudill, Emma Rowe, Ina Cantrell, Curtis Caudill, Orville Caudill, Ivol Caudill, Cecil Ray Caudill, Loren Caudill, and Jimmy Caudill, brothers & sisters-in-law, Opal Hurley, Lois Stewart, Tilden (Phyllis) Hurley, Donald (Judy) Hurley, and Helena Broom; brothers-in-law Herb Moore, Carrol Rowe, and Martin Cantrell and her step-grandson, James Miller.
Private family services will be held. Arrangements are being handled by Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory in Maumee, OH.
