Wanda Anaya

WANDA M. ANAYA Wanda Anaya, age 82, of Holland passed away unexpectedly on July 4, 2012 in her home. Wanda was born in Sylvania on December 13, 1929 to John & Clara (Bertram) Cole. She married Herman Anaya in Maumee on August 31, 1957 and he preceded her in death in August, 2003. Wanda worked for Foodtown as a meat wrapper for over 37 years retiring in 1990. She was a member of Providence Lutheran Church; the Maumee Eagles and Eagles Reac. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Surviving are her children, Michael (Nancy) Sterling; Tony (Donna) Anaya; Jesse (Dianne) Anaya; Herman (Donna) Anaya; David Anaya; sister, Luella (Carmen) Izzi; sister-in-law, Joanne Cole; brothers-in-law, Massie Anaya and Ralph Gonzalez; 17 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sons, John & Charles “Snip” Sterling; Richard “Shank” Anaya; brothers Jay Cole; Richard “Butch” Cole; sisters, Sharon Sandy and Theresa Brewer. Friends and family will be received in the Neville Funeral Home, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland (419-865-8879) from 2-8 pm Sunday where funeral services will be held at 11 am Monday July 9, 2012. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Waterville. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Providence Lutheran Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
