Walter H. Wiskochil

WISKOCHIL WALTER H. Walter H. Wiskochil, age 85 of Sylvania, passed away Monday April 6, 2009 in Lake Park Comfort Care. He was born October 29, 1923 in Detroit, Michigan to Ivan and Grace Wiskochil. Walt was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and flew 25 missions over Italy with the 15th Air Force Division during WWII. After returning from the war, He began working for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals as a detail man. In 1975, Walt left Phizer to start Wis Pharmaceuticals which he ran until he retired and sold the business in 1985. Walt enjoyed traveling and golf during his retirement. Walt is survived by his wife, June Gearig Wiskochil. June would like to thank the nurses and staff at both Sylvania Care and Rehab and Lake Park Comfort Care. A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Avenue west of Corey Rd..
