Walter E. Williams, Jr., 87, of Graytown, Ohio died Sunday, April 21, 2013 in Mercy-St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio. Walter was born in Columbus, Ohio on October 21, 1925 to Walter E. and Ruth B. Ward Williams, Sr. He married Ruth A. Davis in Marion Ohio on December 30, 1944 and she survives. Walter was a crane and heavy equipment operator for Leon Boulton & Son Co. of Toledo, Ohio for 32 years retiring in 1983. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII, and was a former member of the American Legion Post #279 in Elmore, Ohio, and the Masonic Lodge #70 in Marion, Ohio. In his spare time he enjoyed camping with his family, woodworking, and playing Nintendo games. Survivors include his wife, Ruth, sons, Walter Rose III and James Debbie Williams, daughters, Carolyn Charles Specht, Susan Daniel Griesinger, Ruth Thomas Lenz Trammell, 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and sister, Audrey Reese. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, grandchildren, Laura Griesinger and Macy Williams, sisters, Jeanette Kuba and Naomi Rausch, and an infant brother. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 AM, Thursday, April 25, 2013 in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St. Genoa, OH 43430. Visitation will be in the funeral home from 2-4 & 6-8 PM on Wednesday, April 24, 2013.A Masonic service will be conducted in the funeral home at 7 PM. Interment will be in the Elliston Cemetery, Elliston, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
