Walter K. Traver, 84, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at the Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor. He was born on November 30, 1934, in Toledo, Ohio, to Clifford and Irene Traver. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves. Walter worked as a painter for Brush Wellman for two years and also as a security guard for Pinkerton at Erie Industrial Park and JOWA at Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Plant. He was a former member of the Port Clinton Lions Club. Walter enjoyed fishing, photography and golfing with his sons. Walter is survived by his sons, Richard (Lita) Traver, Michael (Lori) Traver, Kenneth (Sharon) Traver, and Mark Traver, two grandchildren, seven step grandchildren, brother, Clifford (Caroline) Traver and former wife, Judy Daniels. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be Sunday, December 23, 2018, from 2-4 p.m. at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Oak Harbor. Graveside committal services will take place at a later date in Lake Township Cemetery, Millbury, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions for Walter may be given in care of the family.
