Walter F. Kuhta, age 91, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Swan Creek Care Center. Walt was born April 5, 1928 in Worcester, MA to the late Fred and Stella Kuhta. After serving in the US Army, Walt went to college and received his Bachelors and Masters degrees. He was a civil engineer at Champion Spark Plug for many years before retiring in 1982. Walt was a huge fan of Michigan State University basketball and also liked watching college football. He made model airplanes and flew them with a local flying club. He loved traveling with his wife Joan, and spending summers at his cottage on Devils Lake. He will be remembered for his determination and dedication to his family. Walt was preceded in death by his wife, Joan. He was survived by his daughters, Cori Crider and Kyle (John) Ferdico; nephews, Alex and Michael Kranyak; and dear friends, Oscar Oehmler and Ray Jones. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan. Visitation will be Thursday, June 27, 2019 at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) from 11:00 am until the time of service at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio Living Foundation, 1001 Kingsmill Parkway, Columbus, Ohio 43229.
