Walter R. "Wally" Edwards

Walter R. “Wally” Edwards age 70 of Maumee, Ohio, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family. Wally was born in Toledo on November 24, 1951, to Walter D. and Mary Jean (MacKenzie) Edwards.

Wally was a U.S. Navy veteran who proudly served on the USS John F. Kennedy aircraft carrier. He owned and operated Systems and Sound for 35 years and was a member of Brandywine Country Club. Wally was an avid golfer, Ohio State Football fan, and enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids.

Surviving is his wife, Debby; daughter, Leslie Anne (Sarah); sons, Walter James “Jamie” (Katie), Robert Francis (Heather) Edwards and granddaughters, Riley Anne Marie Snyder and Taylor Mary Edwards. In addition to his parents, Wally was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Stengle, and nephew, Matt Stengle.

Family and friends will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee, OH on Friday, June 10, 2022, from 4-8 PM. Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis de Sales Foundation, 2323 W. Bancroft St., Toledo, OH 43607 in memory of Wally Edwards.
