Wallace “Wally” F. Screptock, age 73, passed away at his home in Rossford surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, November 29th, 2017. He was a lifelong resident of Rossford who graduated from Rossford High School in 1962. He retired from Pilkington (Libby Owens Ford) as a Supervisor after working over 38 years. Wally was a husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a strong and proud man who kept to his beliefs and who always said what was on his mind. He loved his family, hunting, and fishing. He loved the outdoors and could never sit still for long. Wally was always doing something around the house to keep busy. He was kind of a "Jack of all Trades". He was the kind of man you went to for advice and answers to your problems. He will be deeply missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; son, Shawn; granddaughter, Skylar; and sister, Deloris (Val) Gacik. He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen (Niedzwiecki) and Frank Screptock. “My husband has made me laugh. Wiped my tears. Hugged me tight. Watched me succeed. Seen me fail. Cheered me on. Kept me going strong. My husband is a promise from God that I will have a friend forever.” Friends will be received on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Zoar Lutheran Church, 314 East Indiana Avenue, Perrysburg, with a Memorial Service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Road, Perrysburg, OH. Arrangements were entrusted to Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133). Online condolences may be made to the family at www.witzlershank.com.
