Wallace F. Wally Kline

Wallace Wally F. Kline, 90, of Elmore died Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor. Wally was born January 24, 1927, in Oak Harbor to Albert H. and Louise (Boss) Kline. He had worked as a farmer most of life but also worked in maintenance at the former Brush Wellman in Elmore for 35 years retiring in 1991. Wally served in the U.S. Navy from 1945-46 and again from 1951-52. He was a member of the Elmore Legion Post #279 and Oak Harbor VFW Post #8732 and served as past commanders of both. He was also in the honor guard for parades and cemetery military services. Wally was a former councilman for the Village of Elmore. He collected antique tractors and owned a 1936 Chevrolet pick-up and a WWII era Willys Jeep. Wally was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Eileen (Stein) Kline, who passed away October 20, 2002; his second wife, Elaine Rust Kline, who passed away September 23, 2006; brothers, Herman and Dale Kline, sister, Lucinda Ewing; granddaughter, Jessica Kline; and special sister-in-laws, Linda Lobdell and Joyce Lusk. He is survived by his son, John A. (Betty ) Kline, daughters, Kathie S. Long and Deb A. Bowersox; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren; step son, Bruce (Deb) Geldine; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Wilkins; and special friend, Margaret Venzke. According to Wallys wishes, there will be no services. Memorials may be given to the Elmore American Legion, the Oak Harbor VFW, or the American Cancer Society. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory of Genoa has assisted the family with arrangements.
