Walker M Davidson

Walker M. Davidson, Jr. age 87 of Toledo passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at home surrounded by his family. He was born June 3, 1930 in Omar, West Virginia to Walker and Edna Fay (Blevins) Davidson, Sr. Walker graduated from Logan High School then attended Marshall University. While at Marshall he joined the military and served during the Korean War. After being honorably discharged as a Second Lieutenant, he attended and graduated from the University of Toledo with a degree in drafting. He retired from the Dana Corporation as a draftsman and product designer after 29 plus years. Walker coached his sons baseball teams through their playing years. He was very devoted to teaching the fundamentals of the game, and was especially proud of the 1970 McKinley Jets peewee team that went 18-0 and won the city league championship. He was a member of the Heritage Church of God formerly the North Cove Boulevard Church of God. Although he was active throughout his life, his family was most important to him. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 63 years, Delores who passed on November 9, 2017; brothers James, Glenn and Henry Davidson; and sister Gladys Sebestin. Walker is survived by sons Doug (Michelle) and Mark (Michelle) Davidson; daughter Sabrina (Robert) Behan; grandchildren Andrew (Megan) Davidson, Arielle (Matt) Harbauer, Walker Behan, Stephen (Haley) Behan, Tony (Madison) Behan, Bobby Behan, Lindsay (James) Wend and Logan and Luke Davidson; great-grandchildren James III and Mark Wend, and Harrison Harbauer; brother Alden Davidson and sisters Glenna Ruth and Jennifer Davidson. Friends may visit the family at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey) on Sunday from 2-8 PM where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 River Rd.
