CONNOR W. Scott Born - June 9, 1927 Died - June 3, 2009 W. Scott Connor, born June 9, 1927, in Summerfield, MA, passed away June 3 after a brief illness. Scott was a 1945 graduate of Winchester High School. He attended MIT, was member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity and graduated from Boston University in 1952 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. Scott served in the United States Navy during WWII. He was active in the Downtown Optimist Club for over 25 years and served as President and Lieutenant Governor. He was a Past Commander and active member in the American Legion Post #335. Scott was also very active in coaching and managing both youth hockey and baseball over the past 50 years. Scott was instrumental in the development of youth hockey in the Toledo Area. He coached and managed sports programs including Toledo Junior Blades, Ottawa Hills hockey, and the University of Toledo Hockey Club. Scott was devoted to the betterment of youth baseball and was active in coaching and managing youth baseball programs, including most recently the Toledo Post #335 Legion team from 2006-2009. Scott was an avid reader and traveler. One of his greatest joys in retirement was traveling to watch his many grandchildren play sports. Scott owned and operated W. Scott Connor & Associates, Inc., a group benefits brokerage and consulting business in the Toledo area for over 40 years. Scott is survived by his wife, Katherine; sons, Craig Kathy and Gary Martha; daughter, Leigh Ann Michael Antieri; grand-children, Kristen, Allison, Bonnie, Ryan, Jared, Bryce and Laura. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Frederick A. and Mary V. Connor of Winchester, MA and sister, Diana M. Pelusi. Services will be held Saturday, June 6 at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church located at 200 East Broadway in Maumee, Ohio, with lunch immediately following in the Fellowship Hall. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Toledo Post 335 Baseball.
