Volita Marie Reifsnyder

July 24, 1935 — November 22, 2022

Volita Reifsnyder (Tibby), of Port Clinton, Ohio passed away on November 22, 2022, with her family by her side.


She was born to the late Malcolm and Elisa Tibbs, July 24, 1935, in Bluefield, West Virginia. Volita graduated from Port Clinton High School in 1953.


She is survived by two sons: William Reifsnyder (Bill), of Port Clinton; and Robert (Teresa) Reifsnyder of Olive Hill, Kentucky; and her sister Glenda Phillabaum of Port Clinton. She is also survived by four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Volita was predeceased by her loving husband Bob in 1986, her son David Reifsnyder in 2016, and her brother Bernie Tibbs in 2020.


Family was first and foremost for Volita. She worked and retired after twenty-seven years from Sears, where she rose in the ranks to become a store manager at multiple stores in Ohio. She was active in the Ohio Kiwanis, as President of the Port Clinton Club, President of Ohio District Kiwanis Foundation, and Treasurer of Ohio District. She enjoys gardening and flowers especially her friendships and activities with the Garden Clubs. She loved to participate in the shows and was awarded many ribbons, two “Best of Show” and the Regional Outstanding Amateur Gardener Award. Volita was a woman of strong faith; and was very active at St. John’s Lutheran Church.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Donor's Choice


The Funeral will be a private family graveside service.
