Vivian E. Sharlow

Vivian E. Sharlow born Dec. 22, 1931 was called home peacefully by the Lord on Nov 24th and to reunite with her beloved husband Ted who preceded her in death by 10 months. Vivian is survived by her children Karen (Dean) Schlichting; Gary (Rebecca) Sharlow; Grandchildren Stacey (Gino) Torio; Andrea (Joe) Rigg; Nathan (Tara) Warnock; Olivia Sharlow; Stephanie (Nils) Berglund; Lee Ann Weir; Marty (Malia) Schlichting; Great Grandchildren Jordan, Madison, Ashlen, Dominic, Rocco, Payton, Nicholas, Avery, Connor, Briley, Marjorie, Elizabeth, Shannon, Kyle, Kelsie, and a little Berglund on the way she did not get to meet; along with many nieces and nephews. Vivian first met Ted working at L.O.F.; she as an executive secretary and Ted as a Draftsman / Engineer. This was the beginning of their love story for more than 67 years. As a devoted wife and mother, Vivian was actively involved in family life from swim lessons, dance lessons, baseball, school functions, dirt bike racing and any endeavor her children engaged in. Vivian loved and cared for her family in many ways and helped friends in need. She was a friend to many and once a friend, a friend for life. Vivian enjoyed life with Ted, in bowling leagues, social events, special times vacationing in Three Rivers MI, traveling and two of their favorites; their Hemlock Lake House and North Myrtle Beach. Vivian was a gentle, loving soul with a quiet strength and a timely sense of whit. Even as her body aged and struggled, she could surprise you with a whitty zinger making all within ear shot laugh. We are grateful for the many years she was with us. She has left a mark on all who knew her and will be in our hearts forever. May you and Dad be eternally happy. A memorial service will be scheduled in the future. Donations in Vivian’s honor may be given to St Paul’s Lutheran Church, 112 E. Wayne St. Maumee, OH 43537 or a charity of choice.
