August 2, 1927 — November 8, 2011

Vivian Darah, 84, of Toledo, OH, passed away peacefully early Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at Ebeid Hospice. Her family was by her side throughout her short illness. She was born August 2, 1927 to Najla and Albert Skaff. She attended Stickney Elementary School and Woodward High School, and was a member of St. Elias Orthodox Church. On November 5, 1950, she married her beloved husband, Emil Darah. For 61 years, they shared a companionship that was an inspiration to others. They enjoyed trips to Hawaii and Florida, having dinner out with friends, and spending time with their family. They raised four children and were blessed with 10 grandchildren. Vivian was preceded in death by her daughter Jacalyn. In addition to her husband Emil, she is survived by her devoted sons and daughters-in-law, Mark Dolli, Scott Linda and Gregg; grandchildren Michael, Matthew, Adrienne, Ryan, Tori, Kristen, Kelley, Grace, Andrew, and William Darah; brother Raymond Sherry Skaff; sisters-in-law Fadwa Skaff, Gladys Darah, and Louise Bill Pospisil; and many nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory. In spite of the health challenges she faced over the years, Vivian always had a cheery disposition. She delighted in the simplest of pleasures and showed a heartfelt interest in others. The sound of her voice, encouraging words, and charming personality added joy to the lives of her closest friends and family. Those who knew her would say they cant help but smile at the mention of her name. Visitation will be Friday, November 11 from 3 to 8 pm at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W.
