Vivalore M Foster

Vivalore M (Tudie) Foster, age 95, of Toledo passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Kingston Care Center of Sylvania. She was born December 9, 1922 in Whitehouse, OH to Elmer and Ruby (Bradford) Bauer. She graduated from Davis School of Business. She worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield as a secretary from 1942-1952. Later she worked for Owens-Corning from 1972-1982 when she retired. Tudie loved China painting, crafts and reading. She married Robert Jake Foster on July 4, 1947 in Angola, IN. She traveled extensively throughout her life. She has spent time in all 50 states, been to Grand Cayman, Alaska, Hawaii, and Branson to name a few. Tudie and her husband loved to camp and did so all over the United Sates. After retirement, she spent winters in Bradenton, FL until 2006. She helped coordinate many of the activities at the senior community center in Florida. She was a member of Mayfair Plymouth Congregational Church. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother for 7 years at Longfellow School and a member of the Womens Auxiliary for the boy scout troop at Pilgrim Congregational Church. Tudie also was a member of Dohler-Jarvis Retirees Group, Partners in Christ Widows Group, Womens Fellowship Group and the September Fellowship Group at Mayfair Church. As a member of the PTA, she was a past president, past vice president, past secretary and past treasurer. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 48 years Robert. and sister, Jean Schaal. She is survived by her 3 sons, Gary (Janis), of Ottawa Kansas, Brian of Toledo, Kevin (Kris) of Sylvania; 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; and brother, Duane Fuzzy Bauer. Friends may visit the family on Thursday from 3-8 PM at Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd) where services will be held 11:00 AM Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Whitehouse Cemetery. Memorial may be made to Mayfair Plymouth Congregational Church 5253 Bennett Rd Toledo, OH 43612.
