Virginia Mae Yakumithis

Virginia Mae Yakumithis age 89 of Parma, OH formerly of Toledo passed away on Tuesday April 10, 2012 at the KemperHouse Care Center in Olmstead Falls, OH. Virginia was born in Galion, OH on June 14, 1922 to Carl Monroe and Bertha Olive Buxton Reser. Virginia was the Office Manager at Commercial Refrigeration, in Toledo that she co-owned with her husband Karl Yakumithis until 1963. She and Karl also owned and operated Trailways Grill in Cleveland, OH from 1963-1970. Virginia enjoyed reading, gardening and once volunteered with Meals on Wheels. She is survived by her sons, Manuel K. Dorothy Yakumithis of Monclova, OH; George Paul Joanne Yakumithis of North Ridgeville, OH; grandchildren, Karl Rachelle Yakumithis of Springboro, OH, Jennifer Paul Roginski of St. Clair Shores, MI; Christopher Riley-Yakumithis of Brick, NJ; Corey Melissa Yakumithis of Brick, NJ; Laura Adam Lindsay of Cherry Hill, NJ; and Margo Yakumithis of North Ridgeville, OH; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Paul, Mia, Rozsa, Lucas, Susan and Carter. Also surviving is her brother in-law, Michael E. Koula Yakumithis; nephew, Steven Karen Reser and a niece, Barbara Tom Clevenger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Karl E. Yakumithis; brothers, Harold and Paul Reser and a sister, Esther Byrley. Friends and family may call at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home 501 Conant St. Maumee on Sunday April 15, 2012 from 3-8 pm with Trisagion services at 7 pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday April 16, 2012 at 12 noon at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral 740 N. Superior Toledo 43604. Interment will follow at Forest Cemetery.
