Virginia Flury Wright

Ginny Virginia Flury Wright, age 93, passed away on Friday, February 8, 2008, at Lake Park Care Center in Sylvania. Born October 25, 1914, at Maternity Hospital in Toledo to Joseph and Della Blankmeyer Flury. She was a 1933 graduate of Lakewood High School in Cleveland, OH and a 1938 graduate of West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park, IL. Ginny began working at The Toledo Hospital as a registered nurse in 1968 and at one time was in charge at all the nurseries. She married Edward B. Wright Jr. in Cleveland, OH. on August 17, 1940. He preceded her in death on March 6, 1996 after 55 years of marriage. Ginny is survived by her children Edward Ted Judy, Nancy Wright Kubiak, Bill Kelly, Tom, and Rick Tammy; many grandchildren, great-grand-children and great-great-grand-children. She was also preceded in death by her parents and son, Jim. Ginny was a member of Toledo Golf Club, Collingwood Church Guild, Triangle League Bowling, Orchard Grove bowling league, Morning Glories, the Cotillion Club and Sama Gama along with various bridge groups. Visitation will be held Monday 2-8:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd.. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. The Wright family extends a sincere thank you to the nursing staff at Lake Park Care Center.
