Virginia M. Taylor, 80, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away, Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center, surrounded by her loving family. Virginia was born on May 24, 1933 in Church Hill Tennessee, the daughter of Gilbert T. and Mary Kay Smith Marshall. On September 28, 1957, in Church Hill, TN, she married Norman L. Taylor and he preceded her in death on June 08, 2013. Virginia worked as a waitress for Bracies and the Ala Carte for years. She enjoyed playing cards, shopping, garage sales, puzzles, walking, bingo and flowers. Virginia will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Survivors include: Children: Darrell Irene Taylor, Sandy Hayward Evans and Gary Taylor all of Port Clinton; 11 Grandchildren and 13 Great-Grandchildren. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter: Brenda Lucas, brothers: Robert Marshall, Charles Marshall and James Marshall, infant sister: Rose Ella Marshall; 1 Grandson and 1 Great-grandson. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8pm, Tuesday, September 17, 2013, at the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton. Funeral service will be held at 11:00AM, Wednesday, September 18, 2013 in the funeral home. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH. Memorial donations in memory of Virginia may be given to the Alzheimers Association.
