Virginia Siewert, affectionately known as Jennie, age 84 passed away to her eternal home on April 23, 2024. Heaven has gained a special angel.

She was known for her "southern charm", her infectious laugh, her ability to tell stories and her incredible love for her family and her dog. Jennie had the gift of making friends wherever she went. She was also known for her tremendous faith and love for the Lord which she shared freely.

Jennie was born on October 7, 1939, in a small town called Toler, Kentucky to Daisy and Craig Hatfield. She was the oldest of 6 children with 5 younger brothers. She moved to Columbus in the early 50's and completed her education at Central High School. Jennie met her former husband, Donald Holbrook, married and had one daughter. During this 15-year period she worked at Western Electric, raised her family and lived her life to the fullest. Her life's journey brought her to Toledo where she worked as a property manager in several locations. She met her husband, Herb Siewert, and was married in 1997.

Jennie moved to Frostproof, Florida with her husband Herb, where they lived for years, very active with their friends and their church, First Baptist Church. They were involved with teaching Bible Study classes, Youth Ministries and Jennie used her amazing skills to bring in speakers and music groups to her church.

Some of her other passions included spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to watch the Ohio State Buckeyes, playing Euchre, and cooking. You could always count on her special enchiladas and sweet tea when you went for a visit. Her devotion to her dogs was unmatched. We will miss your amazing light; we are hugging you in our souls every day. Your life was a blessing, and your memory will be treasured.

She is predeceased by her husband, Herb; her mother and father; 3 of her brothers; and her grandson, Josh. Jennie's memory will be cherished and kept alive by her daughter, Donna (Charlie); her brother, Billy (Anna) and her brother, Willard; along with her grandsons, Drew (Erin), Brad (Ashley) and her great grandchildren.
