Virginia L. Reese

Virginia Louise Reese (Ginny), age 71, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Sylvania, Ohio. The daughter of Charles and Carrie (Stanley) Wells. She was born on June 27, 1952, in Whitesburg, KY.

She retired in 1995 from Bearings, Inc. after 20 plus years, where she was Manager of Sales. She was affiliated with Executive Women International and had served as chairperson for the local branch. She was strong-willed and very much a people person; never met a stranger and was a great storyteller. She was an avid golfer, overseeing many vendor golf outings. She also enjoyed her bowling leagues, traveling consisting of cruising and gambling trips to Las Vegas and the game of Yahtzee (family crowned her the Yahtzee Queen). Her cell phone was her lifeline to keeping in touch with family/friends. She enjoyed her Coke-Cola, was OCD with Puffs tissue and paper towels.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Kathy, Sharon, and brother, Millard. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Peters, grandchildren, Alyssa and Zachary Peters, former son in law, Ernie Peters, Sisters, Karroll (Greg) Fisher, Linda Weatherbee, Audra (Tony) Vollmer, Loretta (Jeffrey) Brubaker, brothers, Ernest Wells, Gary Wells and many loving nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to these wonderful caregivers - Manor at Perrysburg, Flower Hospital ICU Staff, Hospice Staff, Dr. Nader Zeitouni and especially her dearest friend, Lila Hudson.

Friends may visit the family on Friday, June 21, 2024, from 3:00 – 8:00 pm at Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd), where funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 10:00 am with Pastor Stephen Reese officiating. Interment at Bryant Cemetery, London, KY.
