Virginia Moore

Virginia “Rose” Moore, 96, of Walbridge, passed away on Sunday, Janurary 11, 2015 at the Lutheran Home in Toledo. Virginia was born in Logan, Ohio on May 13, 1918 to Stanley and Cora (Hall) Long. She worked as a billing clerk at Libbey- Owens -Ford in Toledo. Virginia was a member of Unity United Methodist Church, a former treasurer of Lake Boosters, an avid Cleveland Indians fan and enjoyed bowling. Surviving are her children, Carl (Sandy Thompson) Moore, Judy (Terry) Wickerham; grandchildren Chad (Andrea) Davenport and Ashley (Joshua) Cutcher; step- grandson Stephen Phillips, and great-grandson, Brady Davenport. Family and friends will be received in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 701 N. Main St. Walbridge, Ohio (419-666-3121) from 11:00-1:00pm. on Thursday, January 15, 2015 with funeral services beginning at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations in Virginia’s name be made to Unity United Methodist Church, the Lutheran Home of Toledo, or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
