Virginia M. Hockenberry

Virginia M. Hockenberry, 96, of Delta, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Toledo to George and Genevieve (Flanigan) McGranahan on August 10, 1920. Virginia married James E. “Jim” Hockenberry in March of 1971 and together they attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in South Toledo. Virginia worked for A & P Grocery Store and was the owner of Faucet Café on Fassett Street. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Jim; children, James (Charlene) Conrad, John Conrad; step-children, Elizabeth (Robert) Sczublewski, James (Elsie) Hockenberry, Becky (Jerry) Taylor, Tom (Doreen) Hockenberry, Mark (Karen) Wolfe; fifteen grandchildren including Ashley Stout; thirty-two great grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Dick (Phyllis) McGranahan, Joan (George) Marshall; and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 434 Eastern Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43609, with a Funeral Mass starting at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Virginia’s name may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Road, Perrysburg, OH.
