Virginia M. Brandeberry

Virginia M. Brandeberry, age 94 of Toledo passed away December 25, 2015 at the Franciscan Care Center. She was born July 21, 1921 in Defiance, Ohio to Albert and Florence Strope. Virginia worked at the Lasalles department store for many years. She was a member of First St. John Lutheran Church where she belonged to the Gleaners Society. Virginia is described by her family as a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed her time with her family as well as her walks with her dog Duke. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Edward Brandeberry; her parents; brothers, Robert, Errol, and John; sisters, Veda, Betha, Nellie, and Eileen, as well as her son-in-law, George Below. She is survived by her children, Janis Below, James (Sharon) Brandeberry, and Dale (Pat) Brandeberry; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey) on Monday, December 28, 2015 from 4-8 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 11 AM, followed by interment at the North Oregon Cemetery.
