Virginia M. Below

Virginia Mae Below, 96, of Pemberville, OH and formerly a longtime resident of Bono, OH, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Otterbein-Pemberville Senior Life Community. She was born on December 17, 1925 in Tiffin, OH to Clifford E. and Clara M. (Dolch) Creeger. She graduated from Fostoria High School in 1943. On November 12, 1944 in Fostoria, OH she married Vernal “Jiggs” Below, and he preceded her in death on March 5, 2018. Virginia worked as a homemaker and enjoyed being a mother and grandmother, who was known to have an eagle’s eye and hearing. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Elliston, OH and was very strong in her faith.

Virginia is survived by her daughters, Joan (Richard) Nagle, Jeanne (Gary, Sr.) Westfall, and Janice (Gary) Hamilton, sons, Charles (Deborah) Below and Robert (Diane) Below, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, & great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Eldon Creeger, sister, Sylvia Leonard, and 4 grandsons.

Visitation for Virginia will be Tuesday, December 27, 2022 from 2-8 p.m. at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, OH. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor LisaAnne Gregg 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Zion United Methodist Church, 18045 W. Williams St., Elliston, OH with burial to follow in Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa, OH. Memorial contributions in memory of Virginia may be given to Zion United Methodist Church or Ashanti Hospice.
