Virginia Bail, age 92, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Kingston Care Center. The daughter of Edwin and Stella (Matuszewicz) Schultz, she was born December 9, 1922 in Chicago, IL. She served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was married in Washington DC to Thomas Bail, whom she met in the service. Following the war, they lived in Toledo for 20 years, moved to Adrian and then Southfield. Following the death of her husband, Virginia moved to Temperance. In her free time, she loved to read, do crossword puzzles and was the Scrabble Queen. Virginia is survived by her children, Michael (Linda) Bail, Carol (Art) Thieme, Jeanette (Gary) Nolan, Barbara Bail, Jim (Karen) Bail, Susan (Terry) Hummel and Robert Bail; nineteen grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Thomas; and siblings, Richard, Robert and Jean Schultz. At Virginias request, there will be no visitation or services. Memorials are suggested to American Diabetes Association or St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sylvania. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Catered Care at Kingston of Sylvania and Senior Independence Hospice for keeping Virginia comfortable in her final days.
