On Friday, November 13, 2015, our family lost an amazing woman. She was our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. June Auth was born October 5, 1917 in Coraopolis, Pa. to the late Harold and Emma Ewing, the youngest of four children. Her dad was a firefighter and her mom was a homemaker. June married the love of her life, Edward Auth, in 1939 and followed him to Virginia where he was stationed during World War II. After welcoming two daughters into the world, they moved to Toledo. June converted to Catholicism on their 25th wedding anniversary and her faith became an inspiration to all who knew her. Her zest for life and sense of humor both live on in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. June was a member of St. Pius X Parish where she was active with church council, and 55+ Club. She volunteered at St. Vincents, St. Louis Kitchen, Bethany House, and Hospice, and through the years was active with Girl Scouts, Legion of Mary (District Chairman), St. Vs Retirees Club, Gulf Oil Retirees Club and Compass Club. June also enjoyed needlework, reading, and travel including, cruises, camping and boating. She is survived by her daughter, Marylea (Ronald) Teague; grandchildren, Kristin (Trace) Meyer, David (Louise) Oravecz, Amy (David) Topoleski, Douglas (Amy) Teague, Alison (Matt) Earl, David (Bethany) Teague and Carloyn Oravecz; and eighteen treasured great-grandchildren. June was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Nester Auth, and daughter, Virginia Oravecz. Junes family wishes to thank Hospice of Northwest Ohio and West Park Place for the loving care they provided. A memorial Mass to celebrate her life will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 23, 2015 at St. Pius X Parish, 2950 Ilger Ave, Toledo, where the family will receive guests after 10:00 a.m. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or a charity of the donors choice.
