Virgina D'Arcangelo Knapp

Virginia Knapp, age 85, of Toledo, passed away on July 9, 2023.

Virginia grew up in a loving home where family meant everything. She was the baby of the family with two older brothers, Mike and Claude. A lifelong Catholic, she attended Blessed Sacrament Grade School and Central Catholic High School. The majority of her life, she attended St. Pius X Church where she was very active and volunteered in numerous ways.

Virginia worked hard her whole life. Virginia worked for Bell Telephone, the Oblates of St. Francis and then the University of Toledo from which she retired. She also worked at the Art Museums Peristyle, and worked as an usher at the Stranahan Theater. Upon retirement, she spent her time traveling, volunteering, going for walks, and enjoying time with family and friends.

Virginia loved her family dearly. She raised two daughters, Lori and Lisa, and had five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents Michael and Anna D’arcangelo, brothers Claude and Mike D’arcangelo. Virginia is survived by her daughters Lori (Zack), Lisa (Robert), granddaughters Kelly (Kasey), Andrea (Scott), grandsons Chad (Courtney), Brandon (Nicole), and Lucas (Nikkole), great-grandchildren Connor, Quinn, Max, Elliot, Emmett, Isabella, and Chase.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 28 from 10am to 11am at St. Pius X Catholic Church. A funeral Mass will begin at 11am.
