Virgil O. Petree

Virgil O. Petree, 89, of Perrysburg, OH passed away on Monday, October 30, 2017 at Kingston Rehabilitation Center of Perrysburg. He was born on May 16, 1928 to Simon and Annie (Rose) Petree in Fonde, Kentucky. Virgil was a pipe fitter and proud member of the Local #50 for 50 years. He loved golf, bowling, and the Detroit Tigers. Virgil was preceded in death by his loving wife of 70 years, Lillian May Petree; parents; and 3 siblings. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Jack (Annette) Petree, Michael (Nancy) Petree; grandchildren, Shannyn, Ryan, Christopher, Kyle and Alyssa; 4 great grandchildren; and 7 siblings. Visitation will be held at Hoeflinger-Shank Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave., Oregon, OH on Friday, November 3, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until the start of the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Kingston Center of Perrysburg.
