Violet Anna Margaret Rotruck, age 95, of Toledo, OH, formerly of Maumee, OH passed away peacefully on Friday March 8, 2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. Violet was born in Hamilton, OH on March 27, 1917 to Ludwig and Margaretha Reinhard Montigue. Throughout her life, she was employed at Hamilton Auto Graphic, the Maumee Theatre, Thomlinsons Drug Store in Maumee, the U.S. Navy as an inspector of Naval materials and Atlas Tour and Travel. Violet was an active member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed textile painting, oil painting, calligraphy, cake decorating and genealogy. Violet is survived by her daughter Ophelia George Dominik of Toledo; grandson, Mark Michelle Dominik of Elpaso, TX;; granddaughters, Kaylee of Chicago, IL; and Kelsey and Elyssa both of El Paso, TX. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Brooklyn Rotruck and siblings, Johanna, Caesar, George, Paul and Louie. Family and friends may visit at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home 501 Conant St., Maumee on Monday March 11, 2013 from 4-7 pm where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am.
