Violet E. Floriana

Violet E. Floriana, 74, of Oak Harbor, died Monday, March 22, 2010, at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky. Violet was born February 21, 1936, in Oak Harbor, Ohio, to William F. and Elnore F. Fillmore Goetz. On June 5, 1954, in Rocky Ridge, Ohio, she married Franklin C. Floriana, and he preceded her in death October 4, 1991. Violet worked as a housekeeper in the Oak Harbor area. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Rocky Ridge, where she served on the Altar Guild. She and her husband had been Council Youth Group leaders for several years. Violet had served as treasurer for the Village of Rocky Ridge and was a member of Riverview Auxiliary. Violet enjoyed reading, sewing, and playing cards. Violet is survived by her children, Teresa Ann Paul Baumert of Oak Harbor, Bruce F. Lori Floriana of Port Clinton, Luann E. William Reif of Graytown, and Kelly Jo Floriana of Rocky Ridge; grandchildren, Aaron, Leah, Raelynne, and Carlin Floriana; great grandson, Hunter Michael Floriana; brothers, Virgil Marilyn Goetz of Genoa, Vernon and Norbert Brenda Goetz of Rocky Ridge, Vernell Sandra Goetz of Graytown, and sister-in-law, Faye Goetz of Clay Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son, Craig Floriana, sister, Virginia Hodges, brothers, Oswald, Leon, and Harry Goetz, infant sisters, Vera and Velma Goetz, and infant brother, Harry Fillmore Goetz. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2010, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor. The funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 27, 2010, at St. John Lutheran Church, Rocky Ridge, with interment to follow in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor.
