Violet I. Carson

November 16, 1928 — December 20, 2015

Violet I. Carson, 87, passed peacefully on December 20, 2015 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. Violet was born on November 16, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois to Clyde and Ingeborg Riling. She was feisty and vivacious and loved her family deeply. She married Jim Carson in Bowling Green on September 2, 1949 and they spent 66 incredible years together. On her final day, she was still remembering her wedding with love. She was blessed with a daughter, Joy, who she always referred to as her “Doll baby” and who she loved “to pieces”, She was also blessed with wonderful grandson, Zack McKenna, who will always remain her “Angel Puss”. Although her life was by most standards, quite ordinary, she touched those she loved in the most extraordinary way, and for that we are grateful and will always love her. She leaves her husband, Jim, daughter, Joy (David McKenna) and grandson Zack McKenna, along with sisters, Mary Dartt, Carolyn Wright and brother Bob Riling to mourn her passing along with many nieces and nephews and their families. She also leaves her children from other mothers, Kim GIbson, Michael Gurtzweiler and very special niece Pam Cairns who along with family, were with her until the end. Her family would like to thank the nursing staff at St. Lukes, especially, Cindy, Sara, Heather and Brooklynne and Hospice of Northwest Ohio. We will have a private burial. Arrangements were handled through WItzler –Shank, Perrysburg, Ohio (419-874-3133) Condolences may be made online at www.witzlershank.com Nighty night, sleep tight, Mommy. Don’t let the bugs bite, and if they do, bite them back!
