Viola Moffitt

Viola E. Moffitt, 90, of Oak Harbor, passed away, Tuesday, January 08, 2013 at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor. She was born on January 19, 1922 in Findlay, OH, the daughter of Orville and Lois Baker Thompson. On December 24, 1939 in Findlay, OH she married Edwin Moffitt and he preceded her in death on April 18, 1996. Viola enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, gardening, reading and traveling in her earlier years. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Survivors include: Sons: Eddie Faye Moffitt of Ludington, MI, Michael Georgia Moffitt of Oak Harbor, Doug Analee Moffitt of Oak Harbor and Jeff Moffitt of Rocky Ridge, OH; 8 Grandchildren and 10 Great-Grandchildren. Viola was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant daughter: Lisa Moffitt; brother: Donald Thompson and sister: Dorothy Heck. Per the wishes of the family, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will be held at a later date in Van Horn Cemetery, Vanlue, OH. Memorial contributions in memory of Viola may be given to the Oak Harbor Public Library, 147 W. Main St., Oak Harbor, OH 43449.
