Vina L. Lowe

Vina L. Lowe, 70, of Curtice, Ohio, died, Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at Orchard Villa Nursing Home, Oregon, Ohio. Vina was born in Banner, Kentucky, on January 6, 1947, to William and Sylvia (Hall) Hamilton. She married Wayne R. Lowe in Clintwood, Virginia, on July 1, 1962, and he preceded her in death on December 11, 2009. Vina had worked in the laundry department at the Genoa Care Center for eight years and for the former Stokley’s in Curtice, Ohio. She loved her family, and her grandchildren were the light of her life. She was the most happy when she had her family around her. Her constant companions were her two dogs, Suzzie and Princess, whom she loved and treated like family as well. When she was on the go, she could often be found at a garage sale. Vina is survived by her children, Ronald (Renee) Lowe, Lisa Ann (Brian) Meyers and Kimberly Sue (John) Hoodlebrink, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers, Arthur, Rayburn and Thomas Hamilton. At Vina’s request there will be no services. She will be buried at a later date with her husband in the Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa, Ohio. The family suggests that memorial contributions for Vina be directed to the Ottawa County Humane Society, 2424 E. Sand Rd., Port Clinton, OH 43452. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory of Genoa is assisting the family with arrangements.
