August 22, 1931 — March 28, 2009

Velma L. Sally Nottage passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2009 after a brief illness. A life long resident of Toledo she was born August 22, 1931 and was the loving daughter of the late Velma L. Koperski. Sally enjoyed working for the Washington Local School System for many years as the librarian at Monac Elementary School. She took great pride in helping out the children even after her retirement on July 1, 1996. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren, going to craft shows, playing cards and socializing with friends. Sally was a member of Reformation Lutheran Church and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Surviving is her husband Melvin F. Nottage, with whom she would have celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on April 15; daughters Barbara Bankey and Laurie Edward McCormick; grandchildren Kristen Jody Larson and Jimmy Sattler; and great grandchildren Jacob and Colin Larson and Jade Sattler. Friends and family may visit the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey on Wednesday from 3-8 PM where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 AM. Interment Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the caregivers of Hospice of Northwest Ohio and direct any memorials in Sallys memory to them.
