Vance M Kramer, Jr.

Vance M. Kramer, Jr., 72, of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Shaker Heights, Ohio on May 15, 1943 to Vance M. and Fredericka (Spencer) Kramer, Sr. He graduated from Michigan State University and took over the family business, Crushproof Tubing Company, where he was CEO and President. He worked there for 50 years until his passing. Through his leadership, the company survived many recessions and is stronger than ever. He was very proud of his Crushproof family. He treated his employees as part of his own family and their wellbeing was very important to him. Along with taking care of them they took care of him. Vance had numerous patents that he was proud of. He married his sweetheart, Mary E. Decker at Hope Lutheran Church in Toledo on August 18, 1983 and together they enjoyed traveling the world and fine dining. Vance was a huge Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeye fan. His greatest accomplishments where taking care of his family, Crushproof Tubing Company and his Crushproof family. He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Kramer; children, Kelly A. Kramer, Natalie R. Kramer, J. Todd Grayson and Jay Peter (Amelia) Grayson; six grandchildren; brother, Spencer (Anna) Kramer and sister, Penny Kramer. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Vance M. Kramer, III and brother, Dr. Richard Kramer. Friends will be received at Witzler Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary St. Perrysburg, Ohio (419-874-3133) on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 from 2:00 PM-8:00 PM. Funeral service will be held Thursday, March 3 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
