TYLER PATRICK JAROSZ

March 17, 1990 - August 23, 2026

Tyler Patrick Jarosz, beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the age of 36. Born on March 17, 1990, to Ken and Becky Jarosz, Tyler grew into a man whose kindness, easy laughter, and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He had a natural way of putting others first and building friendships easily, often simply by being himself. Tyler never missed a chance to compliment his mom, and he loved being a sports buddy to his dad, sharing countless games, conversations, and memories together.

Tyler attended Christ the King Catholic School and graduated from St. John's Jesuit High School in 2008. He went on to earn his degree in Sports Management from Bowling Green State University in 2012. His love for sports ran deep, especially for all things Detroit. Whether cheering for the University of Michigan or passionately supporting the Detroit Red Wings, Tyler's enthusiasm was infectious.

Hockey was his lifelong passion. From his earliest years, he spent countless hours at the rink. He played travel hockey with the Sylvania Maple Leafs and the Monroe Ice Hawks, followed by four memorable years with the St. John's Jesuit Titans. In college, he continued playing intramural hockey, staying close to the game he loved so much. After graduation, Tyler began his professional career with USA Hockey in Plymouth, Michigan, and spent more than a decade as a certified referee. In 2023, he joined the Huntington Center in downtown Toledo as Operations Manager, a role he cherished. He took great pride in creating the finest ice possible for the Toledo Walleye, pouring his heart into every detail.

Tyler is survived by his parents, Ken and Becky Jarosz; his brother, Brooks Jarosz (Janet Mieu); grandmother, Barb Sedelbauer; grandparents, Jim and Carol Clarke; aunts, Karen Jarosz (Michael Bell), Cris Lawrence (Chuck), and Julie Clarke (Denise Haley); uncle, Dean Martin; and godparents, Tim and Joy Hogan. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Christine Jarosz; grandpa, Howard Sedelbauer; and uncle, Steve Clarke.

A private family service and burial will be held to honor Tyler. The family deeply appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time and invites all who knew and loved him to keep his generous spirit close to their hearts.
