Trudy Regina Schade

Trudy Regina Schade, a courageous and selfless person who enjoyed life to the fullest lost her battle with cancer Monday, March 3, 2008 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 14, 1952 in West Virginia to Henry and Macel Glenn Hodges. Trudy was a Teacher for Toledo Public Schools for over 20 years most recently teaching at Northern Lights Alternative Learning Center. A free spirit who was known as a strong willed, natural born leader, Trudy was fond of nature, backpacking and canoeing. She was an avid organic gardener who loved yoga, dancing and traveling. Trudy taught in the Education Department at the Toledo Zoo and was a member of the Toledo Federation of Teachers. A creative and devoted wife, mother, nana and sister, Trudys greatest love was her family especially her grand babies. Trudy is survived by her devoted husband, Ralph A. Schade who she married April 20, 1995; loving children, Lisa Justen Pelton, Andrea Josh Tyburski and Jaclyn Beaverson, Sam Tonia Schade, Nicholas Terri Schade, Molly Patrick Nuo and Terry Erin Malone; grandchildren, Frank, Faythe, Aneicia, Sierra, Alex, Cameron, Willow, Loon, Emma, Jack, Eloise and Joshy; sisters, Judy, Darlene and Diane; and brothers, Rusty, Ricky, Curty and Michael. In addition to her parents, Trudy was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Tara Renee and brother, Robert. Family and friends may gather from 2:00 p.m. until the time of Trudys celebration of life at 3:00 p.m. in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to the Trudy Schade YMCA Storer Camps Educational Scholarship Fund or the Trudy Schade Toledo Zoo Educational Scholarship Fund.
