Trudy E. Robinson of Perrysburg, Ohio died on September 22, 2017 at the age of 80. Trudy was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 28, 1937 to Gunther and Elsie (Heretin) Greifelt. Trudy graduated from Toledo’s Whitney High School in 1955 and worked as a secretary for Owens-Illinois for 30 years. Trudy was a talented seamstress, artist, and cook as well as a crossword enthusiast. She enjoyed all sports, especially golf and tennis. A serial Do-It-Yourselfer, Trudy relished every aspect of home improvement from planning to doing to planning again. Above all, Trudy valued attention to detail, hard work, practicality, and proper grammar. In addition to the grammar lessons, Trudy’s children thank her for taking in Sam Berdene (the best stray dog ever) and allowing them to blare Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass and the Hair soundtrack on the Hi-Fi despite the neighbors’ disapproval. Trudy is survived by her children Lisa (David) Nunn, Scott (Lorri), and John, sister Marie Erickson, five grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. All wish her a safe journey as well as ease and good health in her next life. In accordance with Trudy’s wishes, funeral arrangements will be private. Those who wish to pay tribute are encouraged to try out a new recipe on friends or family, finish (or attempt) a really hard crossword puzzle, or enjoy a round of golf.
