Tina Esquivel

Trinidad “Tina” Esquivel died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on August 21, 2023, at the age of 68. She would remind everyone that she was the baby of the family, born to her parents Manuel and Guadalupe (Ayala) Esquivel on September 22, 1954. Tina grew up in the Toledo area and had a big personality right from the start. She was filled with spunk and either loved you unconditionally or let you know otherwise!

A sister, aunt, friend and so much more, Tina made an impact on so many people. Her joy was contagious and expressed through dancing, singing, and hanging with friends at Day Hab, where they did puzzles, yoga, and had fun. She will be missed by so many. Her favorite last words were “I love you.”

Tina was preceded by her parents; brothers, Arturo, Manuel Jr. (Barb), Rodolfo (Mitzi), and John Esquivel.

She is survived by her brother, Daniel (Jackie) Esquivel; sister, Mary (Leo) Silva; sister-in-law, Gloria, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her family would like to thank the Wiley Homes and staff, her oncology team and Hospice of NW Ohio for taking such good care of her during this difficult time.

A visitation will be held at Walker Funeral Home – Oregon Chapel (3500 Navarre) on Thursday, August 24, 2023, from 4 pm – 7 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023, at St. Thomas Aquinas (729 White St.) beginning at 10 am. Interment will follow immediately at Restlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a contribution to Hospice of NW Ohio.
