Trevor James Ferguson, age 26, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at his home in Toledo, Ohio. Trevor was born on November 21, 1984, in Toledo, Ohio, to Kevin and Sandra Hull Ferguson. He was a graduate of Sylvania Northview High School where he played on the varsity soccer and club lacrosse teams. Trevor received his Bachelors Degree in Marketing and International Business from BGSU and was a member of the Mortar Board Society while attending college. A hard worker and natural leader, he loved his job as a Financial Associate with Thrivent Financial for Lutherans as this position provided him with the opportunity to help others plan for their future. Trevor was a lifelong member of Hope Lutheran Church and a recent member of Nova Church. He traveled to El Salvador where he did mission work through his church with Habitat for Humanity. Trevor loved to read and write and had an insatiable quest for learning. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially the time he spent with family and friends at Vineyard Lake. He enjoyed waterskiing and snowboarding. He was crazy in love with his new wife, Mystee and adored their dog, Alden Aldie. He will be remembered for his generous and caring personality and his willingness to lend a helping hand when needed. Trevor is survived by his loving wife, Mystee Ferguson Melchor; parents, Kevin and Sandee Ferguson; brothers, Colin Michael and Wesley Eric Ferguson; grandmother, Patricia Hull; aunts and uncles, Pamela Fraser, Beth Hull, Robyn Tom Sbrocchi, Jodi Clay Hepler, Gary Ann Ferguson, Susan Bill Benner, Patrick Susan Ferguson, Shawn Ferguson, and Debbie Schaeff; cousins, Logan Ferguson, Lauren Robb Moss, Andrew Fraser, Kelsey, Peyton and Landen Hull, Tyler, Devon, and Austin Sbrocchi, Samantha Manore, Jessica Mario Catenacci, Meghan Jack ONeill-Ferguson, Katie Ferguson, Billy and Dana Benner, and Mathew and Nathan Keasler; mother and father-in-law, Cynthia and Eliseo Melchor; and brothers and sister-in-law, Lorenzo Andria, Martina, and Cresencio Melchor. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Everett D. Hull; paternal grandparents, James E. Ferguson, Sr. and Patricia A. Ferguson; uncles, James E. Ferguson Jr. and John Jack Eric Hull. Visitation will be on Monday, August 1, 2011, from 2-9:00 pm at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. The family suggests that donations be made to the Toledo Humane Society, Nova Church or Hope Lutheran Church.
