Treva J. Boyer

September 10, 1953 — November 16, 2014

Treva J. Boyer, age 61, of Sylvania, passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 16, 2014.  She was born in Greenland, on September 10, 1953 and raised by her Aunt Lois and Uncle LaVerne Akiki.  Mrs. Boyer was a 1971 graduate of Sylvania High School and worked in various capacities for KeyBank, retiring as an administrative assistant in 2008, after 20 years of employment.  She was a long standing member of the Toledo Chorale Society and loved animals. Additionally, she enjoyed reading, cross stitch, sewing, and ceramics.  Described as a Warrior Princess, Treva was a spunky, dynamic, vibrant, sparkly, diva who danced to the beat of her own drummer. She was also an extraordinarily caring wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. The word fabulous, in the dictionary of our hearts, will forever read Treva. Treva was preceded in death by her Aunt Lois, Uncle Laverne, and sister Bambi Pennell.  She is survived by her husband of twenty years, Donald T. Boyer, daughters Amy Diane Deitrickson, Karen Anne (Steven) White and Natalie (Andrew) Malaczewski; sons Nicholas E., and Jeremy  J. Boyer; grandson Alexander Deitrickson; sisters Donna (John) Freels, Debi (Peter) Ciesluk, Mary (Bob) Abdow, and also Sandy (Dave) Miller and Ken Akiki;  sisters-in-law Sharon (Carl) Morton, Patricia (James) Strasser, and Mary T. Boyer; brothers-in-law Michael J. (Cathy), Lawrence C. (Anita), Christopher P. (Robin), Mark D. (Meganne), Kevin E., and Martin C. (Emie) Boyer; and her precious babies Molly, Maxwell, Dinah, and Kaboodle. Friends will be received at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey) on Thursday from 1-8 PM where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 AM.    Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.  The family suggests memorials to the Paul J. and Mary C. Boyer Scholarship Fund at St. Francis de Sales High School, Toledo or the Toledo Humane Society (1920 Indian Wood Circle, Maumee, Ohio 43537).  Condolences may be sent to the family at walkerfuneralhomes.com.
