Travis L. Brown, 44, of Genoa, died Tuesday afternoon, January 13, 2015, at Mercy-St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo. He was born June 25, 1970, in Portsmouth, Ohio, to Cecil Brown, Jr. and Christine Pierce. Travis was a 1992 graduate of Penta County Vocational School and for 24 years worked at Riverview Industries and the Portage Trail in Elmore for one year. Travis enjoyed music, listening to country and opera, and loved to play his drums. He also loved the outdoors and going for walks. Travis was a fan of the Detroit Tigers baseball and the Ohio State Buckeyes football. Travis is survived by his mother and step father, Christine and Ray Aldrich of Genoa, father, Cecil Brown, Jr. of Garrison, KY, sister, Beth (Ron Greene) Clere of South Portsmouth, KY, nieces, Lora (Cody) Fite, Lexie Clere and Laney Greene, great nephew, Dylan Fite; as well as his aunts, Ann (Jim) Witt, Zellie Pierce, Frances (Kevin) McComas, Tammy (Bill) Sutter and Mary Pierce, uncles, Lee (Peg) Pierce, Everett (Ellen) Pierce, Jr., Kermit Pierce and Tom (Lori) Pierce. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Helen and Everett Pierce, Sr. and Cecil and Lizzy Brown, Sr. and his uncle, Ed Pierce. Visitation for Travis will be 4-8 p.m., Thursday, January 15, 2015, at Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, 501 West St., Genoa, where the funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 16, 2014. Interment will take place in Clay Township Cemetery. The family has requested memorials to be directed to the Allen-Clay Joint Fire Dist. #3, Genoa.
