Tom Miller, 52, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, OH, following a lengthy illness. Tom was born on March 26, 1961 in Toledo, OH, the son of John G. and Genevieve Genny Wiley Miller. On September 17, 1983, in Port Clinton, he married Gail Wahlers and she survives. Tom worked as a floor installer for Youngs Floor Covering & Draperies for more than 20 years. He was an avid bowler who achieved 6 300 games. Tom started running in his 40s and he loved going on his yearly fishing trips with his son and friends. Being a lifelong Detroit Tigers fan, he loved to harass fans of that minor league Cleveland team. Survivors include: Loving Wife of 29 years: Gail Miller of Port Clinton; Daughter: Lauren Jimmy Boss of Port Clinton; Son: Craig Miller of Port Clinton; Grandchildren: Parker & Grady Boss; Brothers: Mike Sherry Miller of Toledo and Matt Jody Miller of Port Clinton; Sister: Mary Rick Landmark of Avon Lake, OH; Mother-in-Law: Gerri Ken Gill; Father-in-Law: Glenn Wahlers and his constant companion, his dog Max. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, brother: John S. Miller and step-mother-in-law: Betty Wahlers. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8pm, Thursday, July 18, 2013, at the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00AM, Friday, July 19, 2013 in the funeral home. Memorial donations in memory of Tom may be given to Safe Haven Animal Rescue or Jessica Schenk Memorial Scholar Athlete Scholarship Fund.
