Tom Rex Chivington

Rex Chivington, age 57, of Sylvania, passed away Sunday February 13, 2011 after battling cancer for over 2 years. He was born in Toledo on March 19, 1953 to Bill and Marynell Chivington and was raised in Maumee. A 1971 graduate of Maumee High School, he began his career in carpentry and built an excellent reputation and business as a finish carpenter. He was devoted to his family and felt very lucky and blessed to have three great kids. An avid boater and fisherman he enjoyed his summers on Lake Erie. Rex was a life-long Detroit Tiger, Ohio State Buckeye, and Oakland Raider fan. He had a special love for all of his pets through the years. They brought him great joy and companionship especially during his illness.
